Fitness - June 6 - 9, 2008

June 6 - Workout of the day at Pushmore was 5 rounds for maximum repetitions of handstand push ups and and pull ups.
Handstand Push Ups (pike 24″ - feet on box) - 20, 25, 25, 20, 25
Pull Ups - 10, 10, 10, 10, 10

Brought Ninie along to try it out :) Here’s a video of us doing our final set of pull ups. Jonathan, one of the founders and trainers of Pushmore, shot this for us. Thanks man!

June 7 - Attended 2 yoga classes in the morning taught by Ninie at YogaZone. The first one was Hot Yoga and the second was Hatha Yoga. I am sooooo not flexible :pJune 8 - Though it was drizzling, managed to drag my ass off my bed early in the morning to go jogging at TTDI Park. Jogged 2 rounds of the upper trail - approximately 3.6km.

Immediately after, went for the Outdoor Kettlebell Session organised by KDTA & Pushmore (also at the park). It was a synchronized kettlebell workout which included the following;
- 300 swings (25 x L/R, 10 sling shots)
- Press, Jerks, Racked Squats (5 x L/R - 3 sets)
- Bottoms up Clean (5 x L/R - 2 sets)
- H2H swings x 50

AND THEN (yes, I try to do as much as possible when I don’t have any shoots during the weekends :p), I went climbing at Camp 5 where I top roped most of the time and only lead 2 routes. Hehe…lazy la :p

I was absolutely knackered by the end of the day but absolutely thrilled that I managed to squeeze it all in one day. Tsktsktsk. Kiasu.com.

June 9 - Workout of the day at Pushmore: in 20 minutes do as many rounds as possible of the following;
5 pull ups, 10 burpees and 15 sit ups. Managed to do 8 reps only. Arrghghgh. Was perspiring like a pig by the 6th rep.

Thereafter, I headed over to the TTDI Park for a light jog. Did 1 round of the upper trail and 1 of the lower trail. Approx 2.8km.

Frankly speaking, my so-called-jog today was a mixture of walking and jogging. Wasn’t feeling too strong for the jog, I think it was due to the burpees that I did for the WOD. Grr…
